A simple will is a legal document that details the wishes of the person writing the will regarding asset distribution upon their death. A simple will can also be used to name a guardian for minor children as well as someone to handle the financial affairs of the children.
Mirror Wills are similar documents created on behalf of a married, civil partnership or unmarried couple. They are virtually identical Wills where one member of the couple leaves their estate to other in the event of their death.
We will send to you a Will pre-appointment Questionnaire, which should enable us to draft the Will and go through it with you at your appointment before signing.
This Level applies when upon reviewing your Will pre-appointment Questionnaire, the Will is more complex. For instance, involving leaving out potential beneficiaries/providing for children from previous relationships and/or to include a trust to protect against factors which would affect the surviving spouse/civil partner/unmarried couple. We will discuss with you your requirements during your initial consultation before drafting the Will, which can then be signed at a follow up appointment.
This Level covers Wills for people who require Tax advice so as to leave as much as possible to their chosen beneficiaries by minimising Inheritance Tax liability. These Wills are aimed more at married couples/civil partners due to the current Tax Exemptions provided to them. We will discuss with you your requirements during your initial consultation before drafting the Will, which can then be signed at a follow up appointment.
