PD Law are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring Jake Burns

PD Law are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring Jake Burns in his inaugural season as a first team player for St Helens RLFC.

We started our journey supporting Jake, a local Widnes lad from 2015 when he was part of the Widnes Vikings U16’s Academy. Jake even had a spell of working at PD Law within the Accounts team and we supported him in securing his AAT Level 2 qualification.

His first love was always rugby, and his commitment, dedication and drive has seen him overcome setbacks to get his place in Super League Rugby and all the staff at PD Law wish him well in the coming season.

All the staff at PD Law took part in each person walking 10K steps

All the staff at PD Law took part in each person walking 10K steps, every day in March 2023 in a charity challenge to raise funds for local foodbanks and people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis via the Trussell Trust.

We have accumulated over 4.2 million steps, walking to work, taking lunchtime strolls and pounding the pavement in the evenings in all weathers including rain, and snow. We doubled our fundraising target due the generosity of our many sponsors and all the funds have gone direct to this great cause.

Our Managing Director, Phil Doyle, leapt from the sky at 15000 feet

Our Managing Director, Phil Doyle, leapt from the sky at 15000 feet (3miles) up to complete his fundraising sky dive for Alzheimer's Research UK. Phil has raised £1356 for the charity to assist it in its research to find effective treatments and medicines for Dementia sufferers and to ultimately find a cure for this dreadful disease. Dementia is now the leading cause of death in the UK and many people in our community have been touched by its devastating effects, not only on the person living with Dementia but on their loved ones.

Phil said "Sadly I have had first hand experience of Dementia in my own family and at present, there are only a small number of drug and non-drug treatments for specific forms of dementia. The current treatments help the symptoms but don't cure the diseases that cause dementia. All the money raised will help Alzheimer's Research UK in working on the current 26 potential new treatments for Dementia and the dozen or more Dementia treatments being tested in the final stages of clinical trials".

Donations can still be given via the fundraising page
